My new favourite champagne

Veuve is now #2 and Pol Roger #3.

so happy together

I purchased this shiny new adventure to follow my partner’s birthday dinner but we were given too much wine with our degustation meal to appreciate it then :p

The Bollinger Special Cuvee Brut bouquet is floral and nutty; the flavour complex and velvety as it envelopes the tongue. Dry, yet with a slightly sweet finish. The bubbles are dissolve-on-the-roof-of-your-mouth melty. I am in love.

Our Bollinger experience was accompanied by Trigg Pizza‘s Portofino (prawns, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms) and Italiana (capers, pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives) pizzas.

Yes, decadent. Certainly not blasphemous, especially given Madame Lily Bollinger’s sentiments. A surprisingly smashing match.
